Miss Utah’s swing and a miss…:) Speaking publicly is harder than you think! Especially if you don’t have an opinion on the matter, and while the beauty might not have won Miss USA, she certainly roped the prize for: Miss Tongue-Tied. Watching TV isn’t always a waste of time. Within the comedic antics, adventures & capers of seven unlikely castaways on a deserted, tropical island, Gilligan’s Island imparted valuable life lessons that insured smooth sailing on the mainland, too. To read my article about it on Yahoo voices, click:

Well you tried. That’s the main thing. I remember my first time on the radio. It was to set a question to people in a competition for the next week. I started stammering and the D-J went to another song and said that he would prompt me.
After that I was on several times setting questions. All silly ones that people got in seconds. I thought I was being intelligent, but obviously not.
Anyway, you’ll be fine the next time you do it. Don’t think.
Who knew you were a secret deejay? 🙂 And as to the “thinking I’m crafty” phenomenon–boy can I relate from a whodunit standpoint!
I read this tip recently about making videos–well, back after I made that super self-conscious bucket list video…and the tip was this: Think about what you want your audience to understand…what you are trying to get across–rather than how foolish you feel doing it. By concentrating on the message–rather than the self–it supposedly helps a lot, and I think it must. I have tried this to good effect in my writing–in a twisted way–when I get flummoxed on the way I am saying something, I just concentrate on the “what” I am saying–and groom it thereafter.
Good idea 🙂
Oratory is sure a difficult thing…
But I started to debate, and it didn’t remain a problem then.
Anyway, I sent you an email….:)
HEYYY!!! How awesome isthis??? (answer: incredibly) You are just the sweetest thing! So seriously thoughtful, Kay…I am smiling like a mope at my PC right now..hehe…prolly look pretty silly, but who cares! You made my morning in leaps and bounds. There are so few thoughtful and kind things that happen (to me) in this world–since mostly people have to actually DO them–and so this is an especial standout.
But I have made one for you–and can’t send it!! Are we friends on fb…i will check…
We’re not, I have my account deactivated, Karen…
Some pretty bad problems I had there…and my family doesn’t really appreciate my hanging around there…
🙂
I’m glad. And so much thankful to wordpress for letting me meet so many awesome people….
oh kay. I totally get that and respect that–and reading this, I think you will especially appreciate the verse I am going to post. I am fed up with it all, myself. So I am going to post–and then go for a run–yaaAAAAYyyYYY!! It is crazy blue beautiful outside. 🙂 We are in a heat wave, too. 🙂
Hhaha..okay, I’m looking forward to reading it… You got the card, right?
And I wrote a poem for you..it’ll be ready and up on WP in a minute!
I did! And I made one for you–but can’t send it. Do you have an e that you avail? Or..? because, again, I am a respecter of privacy!! But i do have this card for you, too…I keep several e addresses, categorized by nature of correspondence, myself..:)
You mean an email address?
uh huh…I need somewhere to send the card! I was being discreet by asking for FB address–cause I dunno…I am just like that. I don’t like to push–although even as I typed that, I am thinking how untrue that is in other aspects of my comportment…huh.
all introspective today!!
oh kay!! Prepare for a lil missive, Miss! 🙂
and thank you very much for mine. I wish I could pin it to a virtual refrigerator. 🙂
hahhah! :))))
also I will erase this here–but add it to my contacts. 🙂
Thank you.
