He was wearing honey-colored khakis

and tan boots

and a red sweater

>just a little too short<

but he was such a teddy bear it hardly mattered

and I was wearing

a pink hoodie

with ear detail

—and dressed entirely in pink besides—

so it seemed natural our paths should cross.
