deserted eyes at night
forget most lamps
synthesizing light
using inner sight
innate to man
deserted eyes at night
know twilight
as Nature can
synthesizing light
in dichotomous rite
divergent from plants
deserted eyes at night
face flux with might
deride it with cant
deserted eyes at night
synthesizing light.

The real night light
that half hour of flux–twixt day and night is super magick. I just got back from a sunset run. Feeling much bett-ah.
Excellent π

Bravo!
The creatures of twilight have come to capture our imagination and dreams.
I like this poem of yours…awesome! rhymes and visuals. π
thank U, Charlie! I was thinking about the villanelle form as a whole, today, and I think better forward flow is achieved with compound sentences…else a little stilted. (I was flummoxed by this poem since I liked and really thought about the beautimous words, and progression, too, but those bastids still wore stilts…;)
I really enjoy “tackling” this form.
how wonderful!!
thanks, Cindy. I was trying to convey how magical twilight is…such a fleeting time. π
