Helen’s Lament

Karen Robiscoe dba CHARRONs CHATTER

And now I am lost

Paris,

your sensibilities leave me

—I perish…

A sun’s brilliance

distant, behind horizon

a world far

—relinquished.

To Wall, War, and Veil

careening galaxies away

solar storm

—finished,

unheeded burn and beckon

agents orange

against black edged print

—rubbish

a Milky Way imitation

where sweeping steps boast

Escher landings

–I languish

obscured in mushroom mist

—all cherished

implodes and expands

…unending…

…unexpended…

  1. Dear Karen – You are imploding and exploding with courage but I have no worries for you. Prevail prevail prevail and head to Paris ! xx

  2. Bravo! love this and how you ended this

  3. I like the analysis of needing to go deep within in order to diffuse outwardly your true self. That’s my vision ~you think I’m nuts, giggling … I love you SS!

    • Deb you crack me up. Yes, I went to read and reconsider–looking for the inference–then mulling, mulling…then I read your em-dashed phrase, and yes, I am giggling.

I dunno about this. I think I meant one thing…but maybe I meant something else, too. Words can piggyback on your subconscious when you’re not looking…

  4. Serdeczne pozdrowienia z Warszawy

  5. VERY CHRISMAS love CHARRON…SINCERELY ANDREA:))
