I’m putting on my blinders
turning off my blinkers
shutting down my headlights
no grander deeper thinker
↓
I’m settling for blander
deleting back to blanker
lockering my longing
quelling rooted hanker
↓
It must have been a blunder
to bellow flame inferno
the rumbling no thunder
the lightning just a Sterno.

just the wording and the rhyme is just amazing. I love this piece always making my day charron
You know, language itself is so wonderful–giving me and you all the toys to play with–sometimes it almost feels like cheating! Your wonderful compliment is so appreciated, Jabbar. 🙂
Charron you always make my day. You are too wonderful .,, im learning alot really
that is THE best thing to read, Jay! I am the daughter of a professor, and definitely have that teaching bone in my body, so I am especially happy to hear that. It’s what it’s all about–forging new braid in the weave of Life. 🙂
I feel remarkable indeed
clever, clever, clever……that’s what you are!
and U r most discerning & delightful, yourself, CK…from a shutterbug like U, to a nutter-bug like me…well, it means a lot!!
I tend to put my foot in my mouth! Often. My brother while I was in high school, would say, “Every time Robin opens her mouth it is to change feet!” I am not sure I ever really want to ‘blend in!’ Smiles for this fun poem! ~Robin
Blenders are for kitchens…power to the hand-mixed!! 😉 Thanks for your visit, Reo, you are always so interested and interesting. 🙂
