witchin’ hour wis-dumb

skeletonwitchspin

it’s bad to whirr-y

to sit & spin

to let the mind

loop de loop

like that

ear-a-tating

Muse

(ackk!)

that plays

round and round

in

elevators

(going down)

an’grr

–it riles you

it makes you

diss•ee…

plenty diss•ee,

and nobody likes

a come plainer

come pretty!!

(instead)

the 27th Letter

abc_blocks

Alpha bet on

arts of letters,

bluffing tough

& leery bettor,

–in a row from A to Z

graphemes kept good company…

met a miss

who crossed his I’s,

dotted T’s

& questioned guise,

–sent him for a loop de loop,

blending series into soup…

out of line

& out of order,

in a stew

& smudging border,

–characters whose P’s & Q’s,

went unguarded, 2 by 2…

but even so

the symbols mixed

forming hearty

synthesis

–since truth is more than what U C,

but meld of your reality.

Cursory Rhyme

A fight club’s

a fright club,

away-from-the-light club,

it’s stern words,

and spurn words,

a-cause-for-concern words,

its mad feel,

is bad feel,

and-ultimate-sad feel,

will grieve you,

and cleave you,

and-always-upheave you.

Reining Cats & Dogs

raining-cats-and-dogs

if you bell kitty

by rights, you oughta

leash dog.

kitty counts on

the element of surprise

when hunting

just as dog

depends on

running attack,

and surprising elements can come into

prey.

when so announced

can Freaky Friday,

when so restrained

and roll over reverse

bad kitty!

(good dog!)

and unstudied

runs by cat

are never good

–missing and hissing

you’ll need to muzzle kitty

and dog

champs at that bit.

alternately sticking his neck out

oh that hurts

(hare standing on end)

and turning circles,

–but never settling in.

Just Sign POSTs

you can dress

words up fancy

~choose~

super script

&

font’n flow

&

other

keyboard calligraphies, that

lend elegance where eloquence is not…

you can put them

in

eye-talics,

those annoying showstoppers

that skew reading

more than the slanted term

itself

wink-wink

& you can underline them,

too

(and even twice)

to visually compensate all that’s

not sub textually there,

(or anywhere in between them)

you can bold them,

and high-lite them,

(isolate) and

wingding them

strikethrough them and

just CAP them if you must–

–if being when all else fails—

&

–else being succinctness—

but ultimately there’s not a dam thing to be done

(with them)

when the words themselves

fail.

Cost of Living

coins_2

You spend a life

day by day…

–like coins—

it’s the rate of exchange for experience.

some good,

some bad,

some Jimi Jimi Jimi,

(all backward guitar) and

youth is its currency, and like the young

boy, can you throw that around!

living large and racking up

deferred debt…

on a wing & a promissory note the

bank doesn’t lose like infrastructure

and eventually,

even for the IT generation

—you know,

the one you’re a part of—

youth’s traded in for middle-aged

gold,

some fool’s,

some alloy,

some heart-shaped,

and man, it’s better to watch where you invest

this

calling off all those deferred debt collectors,

and bending over to snatch those

lucky coins miser-like

–back permitting—

but ultimately,

the aged will have its

rabbit-eared

way…

trailing nothing but dust…

and Peppy, its better to quit the game

early on,

some bluff,

some bravado,

some borrowed–

while you still have

some sense

–to leave on the table.

you can’t always wait for

im perfect conditions

to move and shake

sometimes—

you buy a wind machine

–when a tornado watch is just a trend—

you tie up a hammock

and call it a squirrel suit—

one you change into at Verizon

wireless

–who go the extra distance

(long shots)

to keep customers happy–

and with this quasi-cape,

soar all the way

to Technicolor

–unless Technicolor is obsolete, then try

hi, deaf.

sometimes trainers

are enough

scuffed though they are, and rube free

–heels to click

to find your way home–

as long as you put one in front of the other

(between dance moves)

following that Northern bat signal

in the sky.
