penning gold

my

poet’s

plume

is gilded

thrilling quill

I write with

/ tilted /

–convoluted

& conceited

insecure

& prone to bleedin’

–it’s been branded

& bedazzled

–brushed with air

&

moussed & frazzled

–buffed up nicely

–thricely plated

–dipped in silver

–stamped & rated

–full of molten

~veins~

–of plat’num

–such a pen
